A good service, but expect to pay through the nose for it! Drive 100 metres to one of the units round the back of the same industrial estate (Automotive) and ask for Chris the owner. Awesome service and professional standards for excellent prices. I am told many people come his way for all things Porsche, once they have a quote from JZM!
I bought a 991 GT3 RS from JZM.They agreed to deliver the car by trailer to my house about 70 miles from the JZM garage.I was very busy with work on the designated delivery day however I kept an hour free around 1pmwhen the car was due to arrive. I was very excited to be getting the car.It had gone noon when I phoned JZM to make sure everything was going as planned- I was slightly annoyed to be told that the car had only just left the premises ( an hour late) because the car trailer had a flat tyre that needed to be changed.....no one had bothered to inform me and Id already changed my days itinerary to accommodate the delivery.Around two hours later the car had still not arrived so I phoned the mobile phone of the JZM delivery guy who informed me that the trailer had a flat tyre and he had pulled off the road on the outskirts of a nearby city.He asked if I had a bottle jack I could take to him, he had no spare tyre and needed to get a new tyre. I found a jack but then he called back saying he actually had a jack and could get the wheel off.So, I then headed off from my home to try and find him and my car on the roadside, I then took the shredded flat trailer tyre to a local tyre shop to get a replacement, I paid for this and JZM reimbursed me the next day.I was very annoyed that what should have been an enjoyable delivery of my dream car ended up being a complete shambles. I had a designated hour to take delivery instead I found myself driving around looking for my car on the side of the road and then going to the tyre shop-and lost most of the afternoon. I had envisaged that my extremely expensive GT3RS would arrive in an enclosed trailer ( I did not relish it being delivered on view) however JZM used a cheap basic open Brian James trailer which evidently gets a lot of punctures.I was somewhat pissed with the whole experience - I had messaged the JZM salesman to explain that I was looking for my car on the roadside to fix another puncture on their trailer and he replied:I can only apologise on behalf of JZM, however a flat tyre is out of our hands and something that I cannot do anything about. Sorry. So you are are selling 6 figure Porsches yet cant deal with a flat tyre without the buyer getting you out of trouble? At least have the decency to say thankyou.JZM call themselves the UKs undisputed no 1 independent Porsche specialist.
Simply the best place locally for all Porshe related services. Great display of vintage and rare Porsches in their garage. Much better service than a Porsche dealership.
Had a cruise control retrofit today. All works fine, fast turnaround despite turning up early plus I got some really good advice on other subjects. Nice friendly and professional outfit, will be booking a sport mode upgrade with them payday.Why only a four star? A bit picky really, left my OBC in default settings rather than what they were set too. I have no doubt if I had popped back in they would have set it back for me. Managed to work it out myself, really must read the manual one day!
