Cracking old school pub. Would be a great local!
I absolutely love this place. Everything about it is perfect for an old local boozer. Would highly recommend coming here as it is a fantastic pub with lovely owners and staff!
Lovely experience, the people showed so much hospitality towards our group of youths while on our DofE expedition. They invited us in to watch the football, gave us free crisps and showed us great love. Overall, wonderful place and wonderful staff, Thank you so much, lots of love, The DofE boys
Just ordered a white wine I have taken one sip explained to the girl behind the bar it doesn't taste nice. She has just admitted to me she is not a wine drinker but showed me a bottle that only has a small amount t in it, so I obviously have the dregs it tastes like vinegar. I cannot drink it so have taken it back to the bar after one sip and had to buy another drink. Brought a ROSE dare not chance another white wine !! Shame I always liked this pub! Won't be back !!
This is a classic 'local'. It has character, great beer, is extremely well run. Anyone wanting to experience a traditional English pub should choose somewhere like The Old Palace over the multitude of the corporate Franken-pubs.
